Since 1998, HA-WI Kunststoffe has combined the expertise of two long-established companies. At its Bad Laasphe facility, the company manufactures high-quality proprietary products and technical plastic parts—developed using state-of-the-art technology and meeting the highest quality standards.

History

The name HA-WI Kunststoffe is made up of the initials of the company’s founders, Hackler and Wied.

HA-WI Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG was formed in 1998 through the merger of KURI Kunststoff Verarbeitungs GmbH, founded in Bonn in 1959, and HA-WI Kunststoffe GmbH, based in Bad Laasphe since 1972, thereby combining decades of expertise in plastics processing. At the Bad Laasphe location, the product lines of both companies were merged and expanded to meet market demands, while the technical products and catalog offerings were continuously expanded. In parallel with the expansion of its service portfolio, the company invested in modern technology and implemented a comprehensive quality management system to ensure the highest standards in all production processes.

The result of this successful development is today’s company, with its three main product lines: in-house products, technical parts, and BAKRA® quick-clamping systems, which reflect HAWI Kunststoffe’s versatile expertise and innovative strength.

As of March 1, 2024, we are represented by our new managing director, Henning Afflerbach, who worked at HA-WI prior to assuming his current position and completed his apprenticeship with us.
